Environmentally friendly disposal of used batteries

If you use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer wish to resell them, it is important to dispose of them in an environmentally friendly manner. Improper disposal of batteries can lead to environmental pollution. Please therefore observe the following instructions:

Free return of used batteries

As an end user, you are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries properly. You can do this, for example, at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. We as a battery retailer are also obliged to take back your used batteries. You have the option of sending them back to us with sufficient postage or dropping them off directly at our shipping warehouse.

Symbols for marking batteries

Look for the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can on the batteries. This symbol means that batteries do not belong in household waste. Under this symbol you will find the chemical name of the harmful substances they contain, such as cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb) and mercury (Hg). Please do not dispose of batteries that contain these harmful substances in household waste, but take them to a professional disposal facility.
